Ariella is the theme we recommend last, on purpose. After you compare layouts and feature lists, you still need a store that finishes a purchase on a phone. Ariella is built for that path: collection, product, cart, checkout — with room for reviews, bundles, and markets without a pile of conflicting apps rewriting the same form.
On DEVDIY we treat Ariella as the default retail container. Industry presets (fashion, beauty, home, electronics) sit on the same templates. You are not buying a mood board. You are buying a product page a stranger can finish.
What we actually test
Preview on a phone. Add the product with the most variants. Apply a discount your ads mention. Open the cart drawer and the cart page. Continue to checkout for a domestic address and, if you sell into the EU, a second country. If currency or shipping is wrong in preview, do not publish and fix it live.
When to pick Ariella over Summit
Pick Ariella when the buyer is a consumer or a small retailer paying like a consumer. Pick Summit when the buyer is a company with a contract price. They are not interchangeable once two prices exist on the same SKU.
Try Ariella on an unpublished copy, place one real test order, and only then point ads at it. That is the review criterion. Everything else is taste.
